  • 1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drain a little)
  • 1 (21 oz.) can peach or cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix *
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 sticks butter

Directions

    Spread pineapple on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Put pie filling on top of pineapple layer.

    Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of fruit.

    Sprinkle nuts on top of cake mix.

    Cut butter into 6 slices lengthwise.

    Place the 12 slices of butter on top of the nuts.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.

    Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
