- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 Tbsp. fat
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Sift the flour and salt together.

2Cut in fat.

3Add and stir in milk to make soft dough.

4Divide dough in half.

5Roll 1 part to 1/4-inch thickness.

6Cut into strips.

7Drop dumplings, 1 at a time, into liquid.

8Keep dumplings pushed aside with fork so that dumplings will be separated.

9Pour into baking dish.

10Roll other half of dough to fit baking dish.

11Place on top of chicken and crimp edges.

12Slash crust to allow for escape of steam.

13Brush crust with butter and bake.
