- 1 graham cracker crust
- 1 large egg yolk, beaten
- 5 1/2 c. sliced apples
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/3 c. butter (at room temperature)
Directions

1Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk.

2Bake on baking sheet until light brown (5 minutes).

3Combine apples, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

4Mix and spoon into crust.

5Mix remaining flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter with pastry blender until crumbly.

6Sprinkle over apples and bake until bubbly, about 50 minutes.

7Cool.
