  • 2 c. carrots, cut in diagonal pieces
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
