- 1 large cake yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 qt. scalded milk, cooled to lukewarm
- 12 c. flour or more until proper consistency
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with the 2 tablespoons of sugar.

2Add lukewarm milk and 1/2 of flour; mixture will be wet. Place flour mixture in greased bowl and let rise about 2 minutes. Add eggs, margarine, sugar, salt and remainder of flour.

3Knead until smooth and elastic.

4Let rise until double in size, about 1 1/2 hours.
