- 3 pounds flour
- 1 quart warm water
- 1 pack yeast
- 3 teaspoons salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Mix together flour, water, yeast and salt.

3Form into a large donut shape.

4Place a large bowl inside the hole so it doesn't close up while baking.

5Place whole eggs, evenly spaced, on top of dough.

6Push into dough so that some dough comes up on the sides and slightly on the top of the eggs.

7Brush top with beaten egg.

8Let rise, covered, at room temperature for 30 minutes.

9Bake in oven for 1 hour.

10Reduce temperature to 250 and bake 1 hour longer or until dough is nicely browned.
