- 8 medium Macintosh apples
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Additional sugar and cinnamon
Directions

1Wash apples and cut in quarters (leave seeds and skins).

2Put in pot.

3Add enough water to cover the apples.

4Add sugar and cinnamon.

5Bring to a boil and simmer until apples are very tender, about 5 minutes.

6Remove apples from water with slotted spoon.

7Then process apple pieces in a food mill or push through a fine sieve, set over a bowl.

8For a thicker version, place applesauce in strainer for 10-15 minutes to drain extra water.

9Add more sugar and cinnamon to taste.
