- 2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 stalk celery, cut diagonally
- 6 carrots, cut in chunks
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. tapioca (to thicken)
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
Directions

1Place meat in 7 x 11-inch pan.

2Add vegetables.

3Blend salt, sugar and tapioca.

4Sprinkle over meat and vegetables.

5Add tomato juice.

6Cover pan with foil, sealing tightly around edges.

7Bake at 250° for 4 hours.
