- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
- 15 oz. chili beans
- 16 oz. tomatoes, diced
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. green chilies, chopped
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Brown the beef in a heavy pot.

2Add the onion and garlic. Cook until just soft.

3Drain off any excess fat.

4Add the remaining ingredients.

5Bring to a boil.

6Reduce the heat and simmer for one hour.

7Serve warm, garnished with cheese.

8Makes about 1 quart.
