Easy Chocolate Moist Cake

  • 2 sq. chocolate, grated or broken
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. cake flour (sift once)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sour milk
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Place chocolate and margarine in bowl.

    Add boiling water. Stir until chocolate melts.

    Add sugar.

    With electric mixer on medium speed, alternate, mixing in flour and salt together and sour milk and soda together. Add vanilla extract in last part of milk mixture.

    Drop in unbeaten egg and beat well.

    Batter will be thin.

    Bake at 350° in 8-inch greased square pan 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 9 servings.
