  • 1 (3 lb.) chicken
  • 1 loaf bread, toasted and broken in pieces
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, diced or sliced
  • 2 raw eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 c. diced celery

    Boil chicken in 2 quarts water until tender.

    Remove bones and cut in medium pieces.

    Reserve broth.

    Combine in large mixing bowl: toasted bread, hard-boiled eggs, salt and pepper; set aside.
