Easy Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1/4 c. soft butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 medium size can Sante Fe peaches, sour cherries or boysenberries, drained (reserve juice)
Directions

1Mix reserved juice with enough water to make 1 cup.

2Cream the butter and 1/2 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.

3Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

4Beat until smooth.

5Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.

6Spoon drained fruit over batter.

7Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of sugar, then juice.

8Bake 45 to 50 minutes in a 350° oven.

9Serve with cream.
