- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. fruit
- 1 c. sifted flour (whole wheat okay also)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Set oven to 350°.

2Use a 9 x 9-inch baking dish.

3Place margarine or butter in baking dish to melt.

4Mix the sugar with fruit (set aside).

5Make batter of sifted flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, sugar and milk.

6Pour batter over melted margarine or butter (do not stir).

7Place fruit mix on top.

8Bake for 40 minutes.
