  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 3 1/2 c. water
  • pinch of oregano
  • lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Lightly grease 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Brown ground beef and onion together, then add salt, chili powder, garlic, salt, sugar, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.

    Place 3 to 4 uncooked noodles in bottom of pan.

    Pour 1/3 of sauce mixture over noodles.

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over mixture.

    Sprinkle 1/3 pound of grated Mozzarella cheese over top.

    Repeat 2 more times for 3 layers.

    Cover with foil and bake 1 hour.
