- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1/8 cup onion, finely chopped
- 3/4 - 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (12 ounce) package frozen lima beans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste
Directions

1In a medium sized saucepan melt 2 Tablespoons margarine,then add onion and cook until soft.

2Add chicken broth, and bring to a boil.

3Then add the lima beans,let broth return to a boil.

4Reduce heat and cover beans, let simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5After the beans are done DO NOT drain, add remaining margarine,salt, and pepper to taste.

6Then serve.
