  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 (10 ounce) package mint chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 14 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 12 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 12 cup butter

    Lightly grease 9-inch square pan.

    In saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter and 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips.

    Cook over low heat until melted, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat; stir in cookie crumbs until well mixed.

    Press crumb mixture evenly in greased pan.

    Refrigerate 10 minutes or until firm.

    Meanwhile, combine 1/4 cup butter, milk, peppermint extract, vanilla and food color.

    Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth.

    Spread over crumb mixture.

    Melt remaining chips and 1/3 cup butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
