- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 8 slices Sourdough Bread
- Softened Butter
- 16 slices Swiss Cheese
- 1 whole Onion, Caramelized
Directions

1In a large bowl, use hands to combine ground beef and seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce).

2Once combined, divide meat into 4 balls.

3Heat frying pan or griddle to 350 degrees F. Using two plates, identical in size, place one of the beef balls on top of one plate and use the other plate to smash beef down into a patty about 1/4 inch thick.

4Place patty on top of griddle or pan.

5Cook on both sides for 23 minutes.

6Once patties have been cooked, clean griddle or pan for second use.

7Spread one side of slices of bread with butter.

8Place 2 pieces of bread, butter side down, on pan or griddle.

9Place 2 slices of cheese on both pieces of bread.

10Add some caramelized onions, and finally the beef patty.

11Take the other slice of bread and place on top of beef patty.

12Flip sandwich to toast on the other side for about 2 minutes.

13To help the melting process, cover pan with a skillet of same size or cover sandwich on griddle with a large enough sauce pan.

14Remove and continue making the rest of the sandwiches.

15Cut in half and serve.
