Easy Peach Cobbler

  • 6 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. granulated sugar, divided
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 (28 oz.) can sliced peaches
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Melt margarine in casserole dish (8-inch square).

    Mix flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder and milk until smooth. Spread over margarine in baking dish.

    Add sliced peaches, undrained (or any fruit desired).

    Do not stir.

    Sprinkle with vanilla and brown sugar.

    Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle crust with remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar and return to oven and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
