- 1/2 tsp. powdered alum
- 1 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 1 Tbsp. canning salt
- 1 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. cold water
Directions

1Fill jars with pickles, then add cold water.

2The first four ingredients should be added to each quart jar.

3Seal.

4Before using, about 12 to 24 hours ahead of time, remove from brine. Wash in cold water twice and drain.

5Split each pickle and return to rinsed jar.

6Add sugar and cold water.

7Place in refrigerator and keep refrigerated.
