- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. (1/4 oz.) active dry yeast
- 1 1/3 c. warm water, divided
- 6 to 6 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and shortening.

2Add potatoes, salt and eggs.

3In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 2/3 cup warm water; add to creamed mixture.

4Beat in 2 cups flour and rest of water.

5Add enough flour to make a soft dough.

6Shape into a ball; do not knead.

7Place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

8Punch down; divide into thirds.

9Shape each portion into 15 balls and arrange in 3 greased round baking pans.

10Cover and let rise until doubled.

11Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.

12Remove from pans.

13Cool.
