Easy Refrigerator Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour (regular)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. shortening

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water; let rise.

    Add half the flour (3 1/2 cups) and beat for 2 minutes with electric mixer.

    Add egg, shortening and remaining flour.

    Beat again for 2 minutes. Cover with damp cloth and place in refrigerator.

    Push down occasionally.

    Two hours prior to baking, cut off the amount needed and return rest to fridge.

    Shape into rolls and let rise 2 hours.

    Place in greased pan and bake at 350° until brown.
