- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. soft shortening
- 1 egg
- 6 1/2 to 7 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Directions

1Pour warm water in mixing bowl.

2Add, stirring, to dissolve dry yeast.

3Stir in sugar, salt, soft shortening and egg.

4Mix in with hands until dough is easy to handle sifted flour.

5Turn onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic.

6Place rounded dough in greased bowl; cover with a damp cloth.

7Place in refrigerator (can be left overnight).
