- 2 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. soft margarine or shortening
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add sugar, salt and 3 cups of the flour.

3Beat thoroughly, about 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening and mix well. Add remaining flour, one cup at a time, until dough cleans the side of the bowl and is easy to handle.

4Knead 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface. Place greased side up in a lightly greased large bowl. Cover with plastic and let set overnight.
