Easy Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 qt. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. raw rice
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • small piece of butter
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 c. seedless raisins (if desired)

Directions

    Combine in buttered bowl the milk, rice, sugar and butter. Cook very slowly at least 2 hours at 325° in oven.

    Stir pudding down every half hour while it is baking.

    Add salt.

    Add raisins and nutmeg and bake another half hour.
  5. 5
    Pudding thickens after removing from oven.
