  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 3 c. Bisquick mix
  • 1 1/2 c. beer or water
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar thick spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 (2 1/4 oz.) can sliced ripe olives
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

    Grease large cookie or jelly roll pan.

    Fry sausage and onion until brown; drain.

    Mix baking mix and beer thoroughly.

    Spread batter in pan.

    Spread sauce carefully over batter; top with sausage and remaining ingredients.

    Bake until crust is golden brown at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
