Easy Seven Layer Rice Casserole

Ingredients

• 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
• 1 cup whole kernel corn, drained
• salt and pepper (I use seasoned salt)
• 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 small onion, chopped onions
• 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
• 1 lb lean ground beef, uncooked broken up into small pieces (do not pre-cook it will cook in the casserole dish, see recipe heading for seasoning)
• 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
• 6 -8 slices uncooked bacon, cut in half
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or more if desired)
