Easy Shrimp Creole

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. cooked shrimp (about 1 1/2 c.)
  • 1 3/4 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. diced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Saute green pepper, onion and celery in butter until slightly cooked, about 5 minutes.

    Add and blend flour.

    Combine with tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar and bay leaf.

    Cook gently for 30 minutes.

    Remove bay leaf.

    Add shrimp and Worcestershire sauce. Serve plain or over cooked rice.
