Easy Spaghetti Bake

- 1 (7 oz.) or 1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. vermicelli (thin spaghetti), cooked as pkg. directs and drained
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 1 tsp. basil leaves
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2In large skillet, brown meat; pour off fat.

3Add onion, cook and stir until tender.

4Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti and cheese.

5Simmer 10 minutes. Stir in cooked spaghetti.

6Turn into greased 2-quart shallow baking dish, 12 x 7-inches.

7Bake 20 minutes and top with cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer.

8Refrigerate leftovers.
