Easy Spaghetti Marinara

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 minced onion
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

Directions

    Cook spaghetti according to box directions, drain well.

    Meanwhile, in lg saucepan, over med heat, saute garlic in oil for 2 minutes.

    Add parsley, onion, tomatoes, bay leaves, salt and pepper.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.

    Add basil, serve over spaghetti.
