- 1 stick butter, plus more for the pan
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup sour milk (or buttermilk)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2Cream the butter and sugar, about 4 minutes.

3Add the eggs and mix thoroughly.

4Then add the milk and gradually add the flour, making a light, soft dough.

5Roll the dough out so its very thin.

6Cut into rounds and put on a buttered baking pan.

7Bake until the cakes are yellowish in color, about 8 minutes.
