- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. powdered milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 12 c. flour
Directions

1Combine warm water with yeast until dissolved.

2Combine with melted shortening.

3Mix flour, milk, sugar and salt in a large bowl.

4Slowly add water and shortening mixture.

5Knead in mixing bowl for 5 minutes.

6Allow dough to rise to double its size, then punch down.

7Place in bread pans and let rise to double its size. Bake at 425° for 35 minutes.

8Makes 3 loaves.
