  • 6 to 6 1/2 c. flour, divided
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt (scant)
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Combine 2 cups flour, the sugar, salt and yeast in large bowl. Heat the milk and vegetable oil to 120°.

    Add egg to flour and warm liquid.

    Beat until smooth.

    Add 4 to 4 1/2 more cups flour; mix until a smooth dough.

    Let rise 45 minutes.

    Put into 2 large greased bread pans.

    Let rise again, 20 to 30 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
