  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 4 to 5 c. plain flour

    Mix yeast with 1/4 cup of warm water.

    Set aside.

    Cream sugar and Crisco.

    Add egg.

    Stir in the 1 cup of water.

    Put in a large bowl.

    Let rise in warm place until double.

    Punch down and shape into rolls.
