- 2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 heaping Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
- 2 c. flour (approximately)
- melted butter
Directions

1Melt shortening; add sugar.

2Add enough flour to thicken like gravy.

3Mix in dissolved yeast; add flour until dough is quite firm.

4Use more flour if needed, or less.

5Cover and let stand about 15 minutes.

6Roll out and cut with rim of small glass.

7Fold circle over and dip in melted butter.

8Put on greased baking sheet.

9Place in cold oven and turn on to 400° and bake about 15 minutes, until light brown.
