Edwards mashed butternut squash

Ingredients

  • 1/2 large butternut squash
  • 1 pouch maple brown sugar instant oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp or to taste pumpkin pie spice..I used a hint more I like a lot
  • 1/3 or more cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 You can add some agave if it's not sweet enough I added added a bit and tasted it until I thought it was sweet enough

Directions

    Cut a large butter nut squash in half length wise..dig out seeds and mush
  2. 2
    Use a veggie peeler to remove skin and cut squash in 1 inch pieces
  3. 3
    Boil pieces for about 30 minutes or until squash is fork tender like if you were making some mashed potatoes

    Drain squash and add everything in and mash it up..

    Serve hot or chilled both are awesome
