  • 3 c. milk
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 4 1/2 c. bread crumbs or cubes
  • 3 c. cheese (mix your two favorite kinds)
  • green peppers (optional)
  • mushrooms (optional)
  • onion (optional)

Directions

    Place bread cubes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Sprinkle cheese over bread.

    Beat eggs with milk, add salt and mustard; pour over bread and cheese.

    Add peppers, mushrooms and onions, if desired.

    Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
