  • 8 slices white bread
  • 8 eggs, beaten (can use Egg Beaters)
  • 4 c. milk or low-fat milk
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp or turkey bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Remove crusts from bread.

    Cut bread into cubes.

    Spread in a 9 x 13-inch buttered baking dish.

    Combine eggs and milk in a large bowl.

    Mix well.

    Pour over bread cubes.

    Sprinkle with cheese and seasoning.

    Cover.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
