  • 2 c. hot milk
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 shake of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 gtts. yellow coloring

Directions

    Pour hot milk over margarine; add sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and coloring. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into deep pie crust, then sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 375°. Do not open oven door for 17 minutes. Pie is cooked when tip of paring knife comes out clean after inserting halfway between center and edge of pie.
