  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Beat eggs until well blended.

    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Add hot milk, slowly stirring constantly.

    Pour into deep dish pastry shell.

    Bake in a 425° oven until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
