- 1 (9-inch) pastry shell, unbaked
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- additional ground nutmeg
Directions

1Bake pastry shell at 400° for 5 minutes.

2Let cool.

3Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and nutmeg; beat until blended. Gradually stir in milk and mix well.

4Pour filling into pastry shell; sprinkle with additional nutmeg.

5Bake at 400° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 325° and bake an additional 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

6Cool to room temperature.

7Store in refrigerator.
