  • 6 cups Water
  • 1-1/2 cup Uncooked Grits (not Instant)
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Onion
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • 4 ounces, weight Margarine
  • 1 can (7 Oz. Size) Chopped Green Chiles, Undrained
  • 5 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 1 pound Shredded Cheddar, Divided

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x12 casserole.

    Boil water, add grits, reduce heat to medium-low and stir until thickened (10-12 minutes). Stir in seasonings, margarine, chiles and beaten eggs. Stir and cook 2-3 minutes.

    Stir in half of the cheese. Pour into the casserole dish. Top with the remaining cheese.

    Bake 40 minutes.
