Egg in a Hole BLT

Ingredients
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tbsp. mayo
- tomato, sliced
- Iceberg lettuce, torn
Directions

1Fry bacon over medium-high heat (starting with bacon on cold pan) until desired level of crispness is achieved.

2Using small glass, cut hole in center of one piece of bread.

3Melt butter in large pan over medium-low heat and add both pieces of bread.

4Toast on one side for 2 minutes and then flip.

5Crack egg into hole and lower heat.
-
6Continue to cook low and slow until white is set, about 5 minutes.

7Remove intact piece of bread when second side is lightly toasted.

8Spread mayo on intact piece of bread and top with tomato, lettuce, and bacon.

9Place on second piece bread and slice sandwich in half on an angle through the yolk.
