  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • soft butter

Directions

    In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, flour and salt until smooth and the consistency of heavy cream.

    Heavily butter custard cups or popover pans and fill each about 2/3 full of batter.

    Bake in preheated hot oven (425°) for 30 to 35 minutes or until puffed and brown.

    Serve at once with butter or marmalade.
