- 2 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until foamy. Add sugar gradually, beating until very stiff peaks hold.

2Fold in finely chopped pecans and vanilla.

3Spread in 8-inch pie tin; build up sides 1/2-inch.

4Bake in slow oven (300°) for 50 to 55 minutes.

5Cool.

6Delicious for frozen strawberry pie or any icebox pies.
