- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 c. milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 6 egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1Beat 2/3 cup sugar into egg yolks.

2Add salt; stir in milk and evaporated milk.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats spoon.

4Remove from heat.

5Beat egg whites until foamy.

6Gradually add 6 tablespoons of sugar, beating to soft peaks.

7Add to custard and mix thoroughly.

8Add vanilla. Serve hot.

9Dash with nutmeg.
