- 6 beaten eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. light rum (optional)
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. bourbon (optional)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a large, heavy saucepan, mix the eggs, milk and 1/3 cup of sugar.

2Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon.

3Remove from heat.

4Cool quickly by placing pan in a sink or bowl of ice water and stirring 1 to 2 minutes.

5Stir in rum, bourbon and vanilla.

6Chill 4 to 24 hours.

7When serving, top with ground nutmeg, a sprinkling of sugar and a dollop of whipping cream.
