- 4 c. milk
- 2 egg whites
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- nutmeg
Directions

1Beat 1/3 cup sugar into egg yolks.

2Add salt and milk.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a metal spoon.

4Cool.

5Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar, beating to soft peaks.

6Add to milk mixture and blend well.

7Stir in vanilla.

8Chill 3 to 4 hours.

9Serve with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.
