Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. brandy extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries

Directions

    Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. In separate bowl, beat together the eggs, half and half, oil, almond extract, brandy extract and vanilla.

    Stir ingredients; mix well.

    Fold in cherries and nuts.

    Pour into 2 greased pans.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
