Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup sugar
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1/4 Cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 Cup butter or margarine
- 1 Cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. rum*
- Ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a large mixer bowl beat 3/4 Cup butter or margarine until softened.

2Add sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add egg, vanilla, and salt and beat well.

4Add flour and beat until well mixed.

5cover and chill about 1 hour or until easy to handle. Shape into 1 inch balls.

6Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7Press down centers with thumb.

8Bake in oven at 350 for about 12 minutes or until done.

9Remove and cool.
