  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted (Wondra)
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter in a large mixer bowl for 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 2 minutes after each addition.

    Add flour gradually; beat for 5 minutes longer.

    Stir in lemon extract and vanilla.

    Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
