- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 8 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted (Wondra)
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter in a large mixer bowl for 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 2 minutes after each addition.

2Add flour gradually; beat for 5 minutes longer.

3Stir in lemon extract and vanilla.

4Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
